PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Tausnama Jutti is conceived as an exploration of storytelling, colour, and ornamental craftsmanship. The design draws inspiration from the richly worked textiles and decorative traditions of the Indian subcontinent, where flora, fauna, geometry, and intricate handwork were brought together to create surfaces that carried both visual and cultural significance.Crafted on a luminous deep teal ground, the embroidery unfolds through an intricate arrangement of floral vines, stylised foliage, geometric borders, and jewel-toned textile appliqué. Antique gold zardozi establishes the structure of the composition, tracing the contours of the motifs and bringing a fine metallic dimension to the surface. At the centre of the vamp, a fully formed peacock with its feathers spread becomes the defining motif, surrounded by floral ornament and framed within the larger composition. Rich accents of pink, green, blue, coral, and saffron introduce colour through carefully placed embroidered and appliquéd details.
The craftsmanship continues beyond the vamp, with the sides and back carrying their own detailed patchwork and ornamental motifs. This continuity gives the jutti the quality of a complete textile composition, where every surface has been considered rather than treating the front as the sole point of focus. Metallic threadwork, sequins, beads, and layered textile elements create variations in texture and light, allowing the surface to shift subtly with movement.
A softly scalloped topline gives definition to the silhouette while framing the intricate embroidery around the foot. Grounded in a heritage jutti form and finished with a natural leather interior and cushioned leather footbed, the pair balances expressive surface craftsmanship with comfort and wearability. Designed for wedding celebrations, festive gatherings, and heirloom-inspired dressing, Tausnama brings together the language of ornamental textiles and the enduring character of handcrafted ceremonial footwear.
