  • PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

    Sole Thickness - 7 mm
Qalam-e-Zar translates to “gold written with intention,” a reference to the disciplined hand of a calligrapher where every line carries weight and meaning. This jutti draws from that same philosophy of control and clarity. The surface is composed of a repeating geometric grid, each panel articulated through dense gold embroidery that feels deliberate rather than decorative. The maroon base provides a grounded, almost architectural backdrop, allowing the metalwork to read as structure rather than embellishment.
The embroidery is developed through finely executed metal techniques, laid with consistency to maintain sharp edges and uniform spacing across the vamp. Subtle tonal variations within the gold work create depth without relying on excess shine. The squared geometry is softened only by restrained floral inflections, ensuring the overall surface remains masculine, composed, and authoritative.
The silhouette follows a traditional men’s jutti form with a clean, contoured neckline that frames the vamp without scalloping or excess curvature. The closed-back construction ensures stability, while the flat profile is calibrated for long ceremonial hours. The embroidery density is carefully balanced to preserve comfort and structure, allowing the shoe to hold its form over time.

This is a handcrafted product containing vintage fabrics, threads, sequins, zari, etc., and may have slight irregularities or imperfections. These irregularities are the result of the human involvement in the process and raw material that adds to the finished product’s charm while ensuring you have a "one-of-a-kind piece.”

Despite every effort to provide accurate images of each outfit's color and design, actual colors and design may vary slightly due to the screen settings of different devices, the mood and lighting in the shoot location, and other factors.
