PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Muraqqa Mules are conceived as an exploration of collected ornament, layered pattern, and the quiet richness of historic textiles. The design draws from the visual language of Persianate and courtly decorative arts, where floral arabesques, paisley forms, and delicate botanical motifs were composed together to create richly detailed surfaces.Set against an antique olive ground, the embroidery unfolds in a continuous arrangement of scrolling foliage, stylised florals, paisley forms, and delicate geometric borders. Fine antique gold embroidery establishes the framework of the composition, creating fluid lines that travel across the vamp and extend towards the sides and heel. Pearl detailing is worked into the embroidery at measured intervals, lending a soft luminosity to the metallic surface, while small jewel-toned accents in ruby, turquoise, coral, and green appear throughout as subtle points of colour.
The muted olive ground allows the metallic work to remain luminous without becoming overtly bright, giving the pair an aged, almost patinated richness. The dense surface work is balanced by areas of exposed ground, allowing individual motifs to retain clarity and giving the overall composition a considered rhythm. The pointed profile further elongates the form, while the open-back mule construction introduces ease and a contemporary lightness to the otherwise intricate surface.
The embroidery continues across the sides and heel, allowing the ornamental composition to remain complete from every angle. Finished with a soft suede lining and cushioned footbed, Muraqqa balances the richness of ceremonial surface work with the ease of a slip-on silhouette. Designed for festive evenings, intimate celebrations, and occasion dressing, the pair brings the visual language of an illuminated textile album into a form made for contemporary wear.

Each pair is shaped as an object of adornment for the feet, built with the patience and precision once reserved for ceremonial making. Rooted in age-old embroidery practices and guided by considered proportion, the collection honours heritage while remaining attuned to those who wear it today.
