PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Sole Thickness - 7 mm
Mashrabiya Zahab is constructed in a traditional jutti silhouette, shaped to support dense surface work while maintaining visual balance and wearability. The neckline is softly contoured, allowing the embroidery to remain uninterrupted across the vamp and read as a continuous field rather than a framed panel.
The surface is defined by hand-executed antique gold zardozi inspired by mashrabiya lattice screens found in palace windows and carved interiors. Geometric grids are softened with floral inflections, built through controlled repetition of dabka, nakshi, metallic threads, and fine sequins. A central medallion anchors the composition, while surrounding motifs echo jaali-like symmetry and architectural rhythm.
Set on a warm ivory ground chosen to hold the depth of gold without glare, the embroidery maintains cohesion as it moves across the sides and into the back. The closed-back construction is fully embroidered, preserving uniformity of ornament from front to rear and reinforcing the handcrafted continuity of the piece.
A soft-structured construction allows the jutti to retain form without rigidity, making it suitable for ceremonial and extended wear. Hand-bound leather edges and traditional hand assembly complete the piece with a composed, enduring finish. -

INSPIRATION STORY
Our footwear draws from the continuity of historic form and lived wearability, where silhouette, surface, and craftsmanship are held in equal regard. Each pair is shaped as an object of adornment for the feet, built with the patience and precision once reserved for ceremonial making. Rooted in age-old embroidery practices and guided by considered proportion, the collection honours heritage while remaining attuned to those who wear it today.
