SPECIFICATIONS
An ivory tulle lehenga. The vivid skirt is an interpretation of an antique Suzani textile as well as Persian, Palampore and Chinoiserie textile fragments from the RAH Archive , amalgamated and reimagined through various techniques. The skirt features a surreal city-scape surrounded by an enchanted forest brimming with multi-hued flowers and two eternal wanderers- a young girl and boy, riding towards each other on top of magical stag steeds. The motifs are rendered using a special form of appliqué, marodi ka kaam, resham zardozi, kasab, dabka, naqshi, sequins, pearls and semi-precious stones. It is paired with an embroidered choli featuring a bejeweled neckline and the look is completed with a multi-hued tulle dupatta with floral organza inserts.

Daughters of a forgotten estate, or perhaps just muses out of time, they spend their days moving between verandahs, reading corners, and the faintly perfumed shadows of a wooden vanity.
One summer, they decide to stage something of their own: A portrait session — not for society, not for suitors, but for themselves.
They stitch a backdrop from remnants of fabrics locked up in the attic. Fill the lodge with rose blossoms and call a wandering photographer from a nearby town. And dress in lehengas and sarees, echoes of heirlooms, and quiet rebellion.
