PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Heel Hight - 1"
Basanti Zarr Mules are conceived as an interplay between surface, structure, and comfort. The silhouette is a clean slip-on mule, shaped for effortless wear while retaining the visual authority of ceremonial footwear.
The surface artwork draws from the geometry of sheesha-framed palace windows and the ornamental rhythm found in carved marble panels. Gold zardozi forms intersecting frames, angular lines, and enclosed motifs—structured yet fluid—creating a composition that feels architectural rather than ornamental. Soft inflections of colour appear within the goldwork, placed with restraint to bring depth without breaking the surface harmony.
Set on a deep maroon ground, the embroidery reads as layered and dimensional, allowing the gold to sit forward while the base absorbs and anchors the design. The open-back mule construction keeps the form contemporary and easy, balanced by a suede inner lining that adds comfort and tactility. Designed to be worn intuitively, Basanti Zarr moves away from convention while remaining rooted in craft. -

INSPIRATION STORY
Our footwear draws from the continuity of historic form and lived wearability, where silhouette, surface, and craftsmanship are held in equal regard. Each pair is shaped as an object of adornment for the feet, built with the patience and precision once reserved for ceremonial making. Rooted in age-old embroidery practices and guided by considered proportion, the collection honours heritage while remaining attuned to those who wear it today.
